Join us in person on Tuesday, October 6th from 5:30 – 7:00pm at @nomadicbookshop as we hear from Dr. Camila Cáceres @drccaceres , a marine biologist, shark scientist, and Water and Ocean Advocate at GreenLatinos. We will learn all about sharks, why shark attacks occur, safety tips and so much more!
Curious about foraging for your own food? Come join our Purple Sea Urchin virtual workshop on October 22 from 6-8 pm PST led by @zantho.zai ! We’ll learn about intertidal ecology, how purple sea urchins have taken over following the decline of the Sunflower Sea Star, and how to safely forage, process, and eat them!
